About us

We believe every child is born a person, created in God’s image.

At Ambleside Stawi, we approach everything we do with great intentionality, guided by the educational philosophy of Charlotte Mason (1842–1923), an English author, philosopher, and educator. Charlotte Mason, a British educator, founded a teacher training college in Ambleside, England, inspired the creation of the Parents’ National Education Union that served all of England, and influenced education practices in countless primary and secondary schools worldwide.

At the heart of our approach is her belief that “Children are Born Persons” and that “Education is an Atmosphere, a Discipline, a Life.” This means creating a joyful and supportive learning environment where children can engage deeply with a rich and varied curriculum. Parents and teachers work together to nurture genuine learning and foster life-giving habits that prepare children for a fulfilling life

Our Education Philosophy

At the heart of our educational philosophy is the belief that children are whole persons, capable of deep thought, creativity, and moral responsibility. Inspired by Charlotte Mason’s approach, we provide a broad, rich curriculum that nurtures both the mind and character.

We believe that education is more than the mere acquisition of facts; it is a lifelong process of growth and discovery. Knowledge should be presented in a living, engaging way—through great books, meaningful discussions, and real-world experiences. Our goal is to cultivate curiosity, independence, and a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.

Key Principles of our Philosophy:

Education as a life:

Learning is not confined to textbooks and tests but is woven in daily life though literature, nature, art, and meaningful work.

Education as a Discipline:

Good habits form the foundation for strong character, self discipline and responsibility.

Education as an Atmosphere:

A child’s environment play a crucial role in shaping their worldview, values, and intellectual development.
